What are LUMINEERS and veneers made out of?
Both LUMINEERS and veneers are made of porcelain. Porcelain is an ideal material for aesthetic restorations, because it so precisely mimics the appearance of natural enamel. LUMINEERS, however, are unique in that they are made from a specific type of porcelain called Cerinate. Cerinate is made to be stronger than standard dental porcelain. The benefit for you, the patient, is that LUMINEERS are exceptionally thin; they are not bulky once placed on the tooth, and they do not require our team to shave away much dental enamel prior to placement.
How long does it take to get LUMINEERS or veneers?
Every case is different, but, generally speaking, it takes only two to three appointments to have your aesthetic restorations crafted and placed. When you first come in, our team will prep the relevant teeth and take impressions. These impressions are used to create your final veneers or LUMINEERS. Once they are complete, you’ll come in again so that we can permanently bond your aesthetic restorations to your teeth. This is a quick and convenient way to achieve a total smile transformation.
What is it like to live with veneers or LUMINEERS?
