Written by Dr. McKay on Jan 26, 2016

Modern dental technology has made it easier than ever before for dental patients who are struggling with dental damage to reclaim healthy smiles. And, even better, many of these treatments take only one or two appointments to complete!

Our Toluca Lake dentists are here to help you understand your restorative dentistry options—let’s get started!

What It Is: Dental Bonding

How It Works: Our dental team applies custom shaded dental resin to the compromised portions of your tooth. This resin hardens into a strong, enamel-like material. Once the bonding process is complete your tooth will look complete restored, and function normally.

How Long Does It Take: Dental bonding is completed in just one dental appointment.

What It Is: Dental Crowns

How It Works: Ceramic crowns are permanently attached to the damaged tooth in order to make the tooth look whole and function optimally. These crowns are made to be as large or small as you need, so that they fit comfortably, and preserve healthy bite structure. The crowns we use are metal-free!

How Long Does It Take: Using CEREC technology, our dental team can craft and place your dental crown in just one dental appointment!

What It Is: LUMINEERS

How It Works: LUMINEERS are extremely thin porcelain restorations that fit over the visible portions of the patient’s tooth. They basically look like the front surface of the tooth—the dental enamel. LUMINEERS can cover all kinds of cosmetic dentistry problems, including dental damage.

How Long Does It Take: Our dental team is generally able to place LUMINEERS in just two or three dental appointments.

If you would like any more information about any of these useful treatments, please feel free to call our Toluca Lake dentists—we are here to help you make the best decisions possible for your smile!
