CEREC in Burbank, CA

Get the stunning, stable dental crown you need without spending days in the dental office.

Our Toluca Lake team creates and places CEREC crowns in just one appointment!

It used to be that receiving a dental crown required two appointments with your dentist. In the first appointment, you would have the edges of your tooth shaved down so that your restoration would fit comfortably in your mouth. Then you’d have to wear an uncomfortable temporary crown for weeks until your permanent crown was ready to be placed.

Now, however, there is a better, faster way to get the dental restoration you need with CEREC crowns!

CEREC crowns look natural and blend seamlessly with your smile, but they can be placed in just one visit with our Toluca Lake dentists. CEREC crowns are fabricated using cutting-edge technology right in your dentist’s office. A milling machine will craft your CEREC crown out of a porcelain block right here in our Toluca Lake office. This means that you can complete the entire crown placement process in one dental appointment—and you don’t have to wear a temporary crown!

Why do so many patients choose Toluca Lake dentists Dr. McKay and Dr. Albus for CEREC crowns?

CEREC Crowns In Just One Day

It used to be that in order to have a crown placed, you needed to devote multiple dental appointments to the treatment process. Unfortunately, this made treatment difficult and inconvenient for many patients. Now, however, there’s a better way—our Toluca Lakes dentists can complete your CEREC restoration treatment in just one day!

Reliable, Long-Lasting Results

With CEREC crowns you can smile confidently, knowing that these restorations are crafted from hardwearing pure porcelain. CEREC crowns are built to last, and because they’re made completely of porcelain (no metal!), they won’t darken your teeth as they age.

Our Toluca Lake dental office places CEREC crowns in just one visit, and the results look whiter and more natural than traditional crowns.

No More Awkward Temporary Crowns

Same-day CEREC crowns allow you to avoid temporary crowns all together. When you receive a traditional crown, you have to wear a temporary crown while you wait for your permanent crown to be crafted. Temporary crowns are often ill fitting, uncomfortable, and difficult to chew and speak with. Because CEREC crowns are milled in our dental office during your visit, we’ll be able to place your crown in just one appointment—no temporary crowns necessary!

When a tooth has sustained significant damage it may need a crown (also known as a cap) or a partial crown (also known as an inlay or onlay). Traditionally, getting a crown could take several appointments—and in between appointments patients had to bother with temporary crowns.  Now, however, our office can use innovative CEREC crowns (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) to place a new crown in just one visit.

We start by simply taking a 3-D image of the damaged tooth. We can then mill the restoration, in-office, in a matter of minutes. After we create the restoration we permanently seat your natural-looking, tooth-colored crown—all in the same appointment. You won’t have to wear a temporary crown and schedule multiple appointments to get a healthy smile again.

Drs. Albus and McKay can help you decide if a CEREC crown is right for your particular dental issue.
