Shape

When we craft your restoration, we will use your existing smile as a guide—your crown will blend in seamlessly with your other teeth.
Proportions
The size of your restoration needs to be harmonious with your existing teeth as well. Our team takes special care to create restorations that are appropriately sized for our patients’ smiles. This is also important for functional reasons—a poorly sized restoration can cause bite problems, premature dental wear, and TMJ discomfort.
Color
Again, we look to the color of your existing smile in order to shade your dental restorations. One thing to keep in mind—dental restorations cannot be whitened with tooth whitening gels. For this reason, we recommend that you undergo any whitening treatments prior to having your crown placed. This helps ensure that your restoration will match your post-whitening smile.
