Q: How visible will my Invisalign aligners be?
A: Because Invisalign aligners are made of clear plastic resin, they are virtually invisible when they are worn on the teeth. There are no metal pieces of Invisalign aligners, so the entire aligner is translucent.
Q: How often will I clean my Invisalign aligners?
A: You should rinse your aligners every time that you take them in and out of your mouth. You can then deep clean them using Invisalign cleanser or gentle toothpaste when they are dirty.
Q: How do I eat with Invisalign aligners?
A: You will actually take out your aligners in order to eat meals and snacks. This allows you to eat normally, and it prevents your aligners from being cracked or damaged due to chewing.
Q: Will my aligners wear out? How long can I expect them to last?
A: Eventually Invisalign aligners do wear out due to wear and tear. However, you will come in to see our dentist every two to four weeks, at which point you will receive a new aligner (in order to continually straighten and perfect your smile). Consequently, you will be replacing your aligners so often that you do not need to worry about your Invisalign aligners becoming too old or worn down.
